w00t!
I just got a compliment on my chef hat from a Nobel Prize recipient.
UPDATE: By popular demand, here is the slightly embarrassing photo:

I want to see a picture! : P
Very nice! What were you cooking? 😉
I really do love that hat!!! It is totally awesome. Where did you get it?
Funky hat!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, all! I was wearing the hat to advertise some training sessions we were running called “Cooking with Sloan.” We were showing how to access Sloan Digital Sky Survey data for astronomy research. I got the hat at a uniform shop in Baltimore.
‘Cooking with Sloan’ – OK, but straight.
I have found perhaps a better title and reason to wear a chef’s hat –
‘Gastronomy’ – as in Galaxy Astronomy.
I must admit, not entirely down to me, as I was inspired by 5 down on Thursday 17th’s Telegraph cryptic crossword (Stargazing after good cooking (10)) What say you?
Fantastic!
I’ve heard ‘Gastrophysics’ used to refer to all the annoying physics and chemistry it’s hard to get into computer models…glad to see someone else cryptic crosswording, too.
