Galaxy Zoo meetup in New York, February 7th
Kevin and I have been talking for a while about getting a Galaxy Zoo meetup on the U.S. East Coast. While we were at AAS, we had a chance to compare schedules, and we are both free on Saturday, February 7th. We’re planning a meetup that day in New York, which is about halfway between Kevin in New Haven and me in Baltimore. Details are still being worked out – updates will be posted in the Zoo York meetup topic in the forum. Please let us know if you’ll be able to come. Post a reply here or head over to the Zoo York meetup topic in the Galaxy Zoo forum. Hope to see you there!
That will be SUCH FUN. Do go on the meet-up if you can, zooites. People this side and the other side of the pond will both tell you how much fun meet-ups are. 😀
Yup, great fun. 😀
Hé, then Astrofest is held in London. Ooopss! That’ll be a busy day. 🙂
I’d love to come. But, what happens at a meet-up? Is there an agenda? Do we bring telescopes? Is there a band? Is there a cash bar? Are there bouncers? Do we have to worry about a raid? Kidding of course, but really, what happens at a meet-up? …from a Zoo Newbie in Bakersfield, CA.
Good luck to you all on the US east coast meet-up.
Hey Rod, are you on the zoo forum too? There are topics there to see how previous meet-ups were, with pics and everything. What happened so far is that a bunch of nice people just hang out together, having a great time. 😉
Hello Hanny! It’s an honor to receive a comment from you! I first learned about Galaxy Zoo One from the news media coverage of your Voorwerp discovery, and then joined up immediately. Congratulations on your discovery! I’m still learning my way around the forum and will try to find the pics and topics from previous meetups. Feb 7th is a bit of a stretch, but I’m always up for as party! If I can make it, I’ll buy the margaritas or other libation of your choice!! Thanks!
